1. Why does my car need an oil change?
Your car is a machine. In order to keep everything moving properly and smoothly, it needs oil. However, the longer that oil is used, the thicker and dirtier it becomes. In order for your car to work its best, that old oil needs to be replaced with newer, cleaner oil that can keep everything functioning properly.
2. How often do I need to get an oil change?
The short answer is every 3,000 to 5,000 miles. However, we encourage our customers to read their owner’s manual to see what your car’s manufacturer recommends. Each make and model is a bit different, so we always default to your car’s specific recommendations.
3. Can I do it myself?
Sure! An oil change is one of those car maintenance items that many car owners choose to do themselves. We don’t blame you! You can save quite a bit of money doing so. (Plus, we think it’s pretty fun.) However, if you want to make sure it’s done right and you don’t want to deal with the mess or time spent, then just bring it on over to our mechanics.
